Ageing Well and Rainbow Mind present a Marcus Movers Mindful Walk

Ageing Well and Rainbow Mind present a Marcus Movers Mindful Walk

Thursday 18 June 2026 | 11:30–15:30

Meeting point: Manchester Piccadilly (11:30)

Walk location: New Mills Central

Thanks to funding from the Marcus Movers campaign, Rainbow Mind is partnering with George House Trust to deliver a series of free mindful walks across Greater Manchester. These walks are designed to support people living with HIV and LGBTQIA+ communities by bringing together movement, nature and shared space to boost mental wellbeing and connection.

This gentle 1‑hour group walk will create a safe, supportive space for our communities to come together, connect with each other in nature, and move mindfully.

We will meet at Manchester Piccadilly at 11:30am before catching a 35‑minute train to scenic New Mills in Derbyshire. After the walk, we’ll head for coffee and cake together until around 2:30pm.

The walk is designed to be fairly accessible, using pavements and following a slow, steady pace suitable for most abilities.

Don’t miss this opportunity to do something positive for your wellbeing, enjoy the outdoors, and meet new people.

The event is free and open to anyone aged 50 or over. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
