Wellbeing Fund
What is it?
A fund to help with essential items such as clothing. beds and white goods. The George House Trust Wellbeing Panel meet on a bi-monthly basis to consider all applications received in the previous two months, and if your application is successful we will buy the item for you.
What can I expect?
As funding is limited, this is a mean-tested fund, designed to help those most in need. If you qualify we will contact you to arrange an appointment to go through the application. You will be required to provide proof of your income and any relevant expenditure. To apply you must already access services at George House Trust.
Who is it for?
The fund is open to anyone living with HIV in Greater Manchester and who meets the financial criteria. In most cases, you can only apply to the fund once every two years and we can only consider items for children if the child is living with HIV.
Where is it?
Applications can be carried out in person or over the telephone. Evidence of income and relevant expenses can be emailed or posted to the adviser dealing with your application.
