Telephone Buddies
What is it?
Telephone Buddies is a friendly and relaxed service for people living with HIV. A trained volunteer will give you a regular call — a safe and supportive way to connect with someone who understands. We’ll do our best to match you with a volunteer who shares similar interests, so your chats feel natural and enjoyable. Telephone Buddies is all about having someone friendly to talk to, rather than providing practical help.
Who is it for?
Anyone living with HIV who would welcome a regular, friendly call each week.
Where is it?
All calls take place over the phone, so you can join from the comfort and privacy of your own home.
What can I expect?
You’ll be paired with a volunteer for a weekly call of up to one hour, for 12 weeks. The calls are relaxed and easy-going — a chance to talk about your day, share what’s on your mind, or simply enjoy a regular friendly conversation.
This service is free, private and confidential, and a simple way to feel more connected and supported.
