Ageing Well: Art at The Whitworth

Ageing Well: Art at The Whitworth
Tuesday 31st March 2026 | 11am–1pm
The Whitworth, Oxford Road, Manchester, M15 6ER

Step into spring with another inspiring creative workshop in partnership with our friends at the renowned Whitworth.

Each month, participants explore a different art form led by a local artist. Previous sessions have included pottery, textiles, and printmaking.

Founded in 1889 as the first English gallery to be located in a park, The Whitworth has since undergone a £15 million transformation, doubling its public space. Today, the gallery features expanded exhibition areas, a study centre, a learning studio, and a collections care centre, alongside renewed connections to its surrounding park, communal gardens, and outdoor programmes.

During the session, we’ll also head out for a Wellbeing Walk around Whitworth Park, with the chance to win a useful prize.

Registration is required to attend this event.

This session is free and open to anyone aged 50 and over. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
