Calabash Liverpool Session: Anal Cancer Awareness
The Calabash is a space for African Men
George House Trust is inviting you to the African Men’s Calabash Liverpool event on Anal Cancer Awareness.
We are proud to be working with the Cheshire and Merseyside Cancer Alliance on this campaign aimed at improving the health and well-being of people living with HIV.
Although anal cancer is rare, men living with HIV who have anal sex are three times more likely to develop anal cancer than other HIV positive men. This is why understanding the signs and knowing when to seek advice is important.
We are pleased to be joined by Emma Davey, a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Palliative Care and HIV Oncology at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust. She will share her knowledge of anal cancer, including signs and symptoms, treatment options and preventive methods.
Hot African Food and Travel expenses will be provided.
If you have any questions or access requirement please contact Jeff.
