Black History Month Event 2025
Join Us in Celebrating National Black History Month!
Black History Month is an annual event that celebrates the cultures, influences, and achievements of Black communities.
This year's theme is "Standing Firm in Power and Pride." The theme is a powerful tribute to the resilience, strength, and unwavering commitment to progress that defines the Black community globally. It highlights the profound contributions made by Black individuals—whether leaders, activists, or pioneers—who have shaped history, while also looking towards a future of continued empowerment, unity, and growth.
With George House Trust celebrating its 40th anniversary in the fight against HIV, we will be using this occasion to listen and honour the contributions of Black people in Greater Manchester to the HIV struggle.
The event will also feature a panel discussion, music, singing, food, and a fashion parade.
Feel free to come in your traditional attire, a prize will be awarded to the best-dressed person at the event.
Hot food and refreshments will be available. We can reimburse travel expenses on the day.
You will need to register to attend this event. If you have any questions or access requirements, contact Jeff or Adela
