LGBT+ History Month 2026
February is LGBT+ History Month, an opportunity to put a spotlight on the contribution and representation of LGBTQ+ people to history. Having just celebrated our 40th anniversary and having been founded by 6 gay men in 1985, as Manchester AIDSLine, it's a chance to highlight George House Trust's and the North West's powerful history of LGBTQ+ and HIV activism. Remembering is an Act of Resistance and we encourage everyone to take the chance this month offers to learn more about LGBTQ+ history and the people who fought against injustice to improve the treatment of people living with HIV.
You can do so by checking out our history here: George House Trust
