George House Trust's Advice and Support Team Leader, Lee Hardman, has won an Unsung Hero award at this Year's BHIVA conference!

For over 13 years, Lee has been at the heart of George House Trust’s services team. He’s the definition of an unsung hero - a dedicated colleague, a phenomenal ally, and someone who brings unmatched expertise, especially around finance, money and debt support.

Every day, people walk through our doors facing poverty and hardship. Lee meets every single person with dignity, respect and compassion. And the impact is real: last year alone, Lee supported people to access a total of £1,164,309.41 via money, finance and debt support. Even more incredible, 95% of people accessing the service say they feel more able to focus on other parts of their life as a result.

Lee stands out as a powerful ally, using his voice, empathy and knowledge to support people living with HIV.

💬 “Lee is a wonderful colleague and brings a smile to everyone he works with. His dedication and expertise never fail to amaze me.”

💬 If you’ve ever called George House Trust, chances are… you were probably asking for Lee! Through his work, he’s helped build community — from running our monthly Coffee Morning to leading the Heterosexual Men’s Group, creating safe, supportive spaces where men can connect, grow and talk openly.

💬 “Lee for me is everything… he is a spectacular person and human being… He is what everyone should be and act in life.”

💬 “His dedication is truly inspiring… It’s a privilege to work alongside ‘Mr. Lee.’ He is deeply deserving of this award.”

Today, we proudly celebrate everything Lee brings to George House Trust: his wisdom, warmth, humour, hard work, and huge heart. Well done Lee!
