Black History Month Celebration 2026
George House Trust celebrated Black History Month with our biggest event yet, taking place the iconic Factory International at Aviva Studios.
This year's event included an exhibition of 20 Black HIV activists with connections to Greater Manchester and George House Trust, followed by a medley of incredible performances from people living with HIV. There was music, poetry, dance and drumming. People showcased their talents and cultures to a captivated audience.
Our glamorous hosts went through 9 costume changes, keeping the guests entertained and informed about the performers and the wonderful work George House Trust does. The event also featured a panel on people's experiences of living with HIV and speeches from George House Trust's senior leadership.
The highlight was a fashion show featuring people who access support looking fabulous in their outfits from across the world.
It was a wonderful celebration of the diverse communities we support at George House Trust and it was amazing to see so many people smiling and thriving was truly spectacular. It was also incredible to hold an event at such an iconic venue and we're really grateful for the visible allyship of Aviva Studios.
