Ageing Well: Art at The Whitworth

Ageing Well: Art at The Whitworth

Tuesday 27th January 2026 | 11am–1pm | The Whitworth, Oxford Road, Manchester. M15 6ER

We're back for more creative workshops in 2026!

Each month, we explore a different art form with a local artist. In previous sessions, we’ve tried pottery, wallpaper printing, and printmaking.   This month we will be doing a dry felting workshop inspired by the Performing Trees exhibition.

Founded in 1889 as the first English gallery located in a park, the Whitworth has since been transformed by a £15 million development that doubled its public space. The gallery now offers expanded exhibition areas, a study centre, a learning studio, and a collections care centre, as well as renewed connections to its surrounding park, communal gardens, and outdoor programmes.

Registration is required to attend this event.

The event is free and open to anyone aged 50 or over. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.

For more information, or if you have any access requirements, please contact Stephen.
