Ageing Well: Art at The Whitworth

Ageing Well: Art at The Whitworth

Tuesday 25th November | 11am–1pm | The Whitworth, Oxford Road, Manchester. M15 6ER

We're back for another workshop!  Each month, we explore a different art form with a local artist. In previous sessions, we’ve tried pottery, wallpaper printing, and bunting making.  This month, we’ll be creating prints inspired by the Performing Trees exhibition. The workshop will be run by local artist and printmaker Alan Birch and is suitable for complete beginners, and all materials are provided.

Founded in 1889 as the first English gallery located in a park, the Whitworth has since been transformed by a £15 million development that doubled its public space. The gallery now offers expanded exhibition areas, a study centre, a learning studio, and a collections care centre, as well as renewed connections to its surrounding park, communal gardens, and outdoor programmes.

Registration is required to attend this event.

The event is free, and we can reimburse travel expenses on the day.

For more information, or if you have any access requirements, please contact Stephen.
