Age+

Age+ is a project, which is generously co-funded by ViiV Healthcare, for people over the age of 55 who are living with HIV.

Age+

An ever-growing ageing population of people living with HIV means support services need to change and adapt to meet their diverse needs.

Age+ provides support and services, empowering people to live confidently with HIV into older age, to learn and adapt new skills and interests, to engage with volunteering opportunities both here at George House Trust and externally in our local communities and to feel better supported. Activities and events include HIV-focused and general health information sessions, peer support groups, creative and health and wellbeing workshops, cultural activities and visits to local events and attractions including museums and galleries.

Age+ events and activities will be listed here, so keep an eye out!

A key element of the project will be the delivery of kite-marked HIV training and awareness to residential care homes, social care providers and other organisations in contact with, or supporting, older people. This will increase knowledge and understanding of ageing with HIV and the impact of stigma and increase confidence to better support people living with HIV. Training is provided free of charge.
