Go Red for World Aids Day | George House Trust

ONE DONATION. TWICE THE IMPACT.

Give before 7 December and your donation will be doubled

This year, we are taking part in the Big Give. This is a brilliant opportunity to see every donation doubled for one week only.

Donations will support our Age Positive (Age+) programme. People living with HIV are living longer thanks to medical advancement in the treatment of HIV. There is a growing number of people over 55 who have HIV and who face a different range of challenges as they grow older. Age Positive aims empower people to live confidently with HIV in older age.

GO RED FOR WORLD AIDS DAY

World AIDS Day takes place on 1 December each year. It’s an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for people living with HIV, and to commemorate those who have died from an AIDS-related illness.

World Aids Day has taken place each year since 1988. Despite huge advances in medical treatment for HIV, public awareness and understanding of HIV is decreasing.

George House Trust is fighting for a world in which HIV holds no-one back. Support George House Trust this World Aids Day, see your donation doubled and make the most of the opportunity to tell your colleagues the facts of HIV and that U=U. Wednesday 1st December is World Aids Day. Help raise awareness in your workplace.

To double your impact, make your donation between 12pm on Tuesday 30 November and 12pm on Tuesday 7 December here

Age+

This year, your World Aids Day donation will support Age+, our project empowering people over the age of 55 to live confidently with HIV into older age. An ever-growing ageing population of people living with HIV means support services need to change and adapt to meet their diverse needs. Age+ provides support and services, empowering people to live confidently with HIV into older age, to learn and adapt new skills and interests, to engage with volunteering opportunities both here at George House Trust and externally in our local communities and to feel better supported. Activities and events include HIV-focused and general health information sessions, peer support groups, creative and health and wellbeing workshops, cultural activities and visits to local events and attractions including museums and galleries.
