Andy was co-opted as a Trustee in 2021 and hopes to use his commercial and leadership experience to help George House Trust deliver its mission of inspiring people living with HIV to live happy and healthy lives, free of stigma and discrimination.  

Andy has an extensive career working in independent healthcare - firstly with Bupa and then running hospitals in Warrington, Edinburgh, Leeds and Manchester. He is currently a Divisional Director for Spire Healthcare - running 17 hospitals with a combined turnover of £500m and a workforce of 5000. 

Andy grew up in Country Durham before escaping to the bright lights of Manchester in 2000 and apart from a couple of stints in Scotland and Leeds he has spent most of his adult life living in and around Manchester.

Andy has an MBA from Warwick Business School, enjoys reading, running. He lives in South Manchester with his partner and his Border Terrier.
