FAQs

World AIDS Day is an international day of awareness raising and action held on 1st December each year.

We need volunteers to help with face to face awareness raising in various locations in Manchester City Centre on Sunday the 1st of December.

We are also recruiting candle sellers and stewards for the annual candlelit vigil held in Sackville Gardens on the evening on the 1st of December.

Activities include:

  • Raising awareness of HIV and the significance of World AIDS Day;
  • Talking to the public to share key messages on ending the stigma of HIV and HIV prevention (U=U, PrEP, PEP, condoms);
  • Candle and ribbon selling at the World AIDS Day Candlelit Vigil in Sackville Gardens on the evening of the 1st of December.
