As a Telephone Buddy you will provide a weekly call for up to 60 minutes to someone who is experiencing social isolation.
It is a great way to offer support from home and develop excellent listening skills.
A Telephone Buddy can make a huge difference to the happiness and wellbeing of people living in isolation.

This role is based at home.
You need to have:
- Good interpersonal skills;
- An understanding of the importance of keeping in touch;
- Ability to listen without giving advice;
- An understanding of the issues faced by people living with HIV;
- An understanding of George House Trust’s safeguarding policies and reporting procedures;
- A commitment to regular check-ins with the Volunteer Co-ordinator;
- A commitment to submitting a call summary after each call.

Supervision will be provided over the phone with the George House Trust Volunteer Co-ordinator.
