As an HIV Awareness Training Volunteer you’ll play a key role in challenging HIV stigma and sharing factual information about HIV.

You’ll have access to public speaking skills training and will also gain experience of telling people about your experiences to a wide range of audiences.

Key tasks include:

  • Telling your personal story in a range of settings;
  • Answering basic questions about HIV and the work of George House Trust;
  • Other activities, as agreed by George House Trust staff.

This role is very flexible and can work around your commitments.

This activity is all about getting information about HIV out into the community.

Volunteering could take place anywhere in Greater Manchester.

  • Able to deliver key messages about George House Trust and HIV;
  • Able to represent George House Trust in a range of settings;
  • Be punctual and reliable;
  • Be self-aware and reflective;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
