Calabash Session: Improving Black Health Outcomes

xpk

George House Trust invites you to attend our next Calabash session on Improving Health Outcomes for Black People.

The NIHR BioResource, in partnership with King’s College London and Genomics England, is running a study on how to improve health outcomes for Black people. They will be speaking with the group and inviting participation in the study.

Black communities have historically been underrepresented in health research in the UK. This project aims to address that gap to ensure future diagnosis, treatment, and care are more inclusive and effective for everyone. By taking part, you will help shape future healthcare for Black communities in areas such as sickle cell, mental health, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and kidney disease.

Participants will be asked to sign a consent form allowing for secure, managed use of data and samples, provide a saliva sample, and complete a health and lifestyle questionnaire.

As a token of our gratitude, participants will receive a £15 Amazon voucher for attending the session and taking part in the study.
