The next Gay & Bi Men’s Event is something a bit different: Join us for a mindful walk in Heaton Park.
So, what is a “mindful walk”? It is more than just “a walk in the park” . . . It is an opportunity to tune into, connect (or reconnect) with nature and ourselves.
Most, if not all of us, can relate to something in nature that makes us feel good. Plants, pets, being by the sea, out in the hills, or the woods, all have an impact on how we feel.
Choosing to spend some time in a natural environment can bring us a sense of calm and focus.
It may also act in a reflective way, providing us with insights into our thoughts, feelings and behaviours.
After the walk we’ll grab a cuppa and a chat in the café.
Please note that the event will involve walking approx. 4km and may not be suitable for people with limited mobility. Attendees should dress for typical Manchester weather and wear suitable shoes. Travel costs will be given on the day but need to be arranged in advance.
Attendees must register to reserve their place. Full details of transport routes and the meeting point will be sent to attendees before the event.
