John Lucas

John Lucas

Job title: Trustee

John moved back to Manchester in 2001 and has been involved with George House Trust as a volunteer and service user since then.

As he is now retired John is able to give more time as a volunteer.  He supported the development of the Positively Speaking programme and is one of the speakers.

John has been living with HIV since 1989 and hopes he can help to break down the stigma that is still around by speaking about life with HIV and the recent developments in treatments, giving the possibility of HIV being eliminated in a generation.

He has worked for a number of charitable organisations in the past and hopes this experience will enable him to make a useful contribution on the board.
