Adam's pride story
"When I was diagnosed with HIV, my world crashed in front of me. I got really sick and my body and mind was shutting down, it affected my relationship with myself and I lost my confidence. I didn't realise then, that HIV was only a small part of my story and wouldn't define what I bring to the world. I reached out to George House Trust, who connected me with others who had HIV, we shared stories, connected and I felt seen again.
Revealing my status on BBC's 'I Kissed A Boy' was one of the most healing experiences of my life. The reaction from the cast was full of love and understanding. I think the world needed to see it as it sets an example of how amazing people can be when you share your status.
So that is my story, what is yours?”
